David Stephen (Steve) Hentschel, age 46, of Austin, Texas, died on January 21, 2009. He was born on August 14, 1962, in Odessa, Texas to David and Clydella Hentschel. Steve graduated from Jenks High School in 1980 and from Oklahoma State University in 1984. He was employed by Southland Corporation and Occidental Chemical Company. Steve was a member of First United Methodist Church of Tulsa and Highland Park Baptist Church of Austin. Steve's interests outside of work, included golf and soccer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Clark Hentschel, in December, 2008. Steve is survived by brothers, Scott Hentschel and wife Erin, their daughters Emily and Lindsey and Stuart Hentschel and wife Cathy, their daughters Annie and Ella. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2009 at Austin Memorial Park followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Park Baptist Church with Dr. John Stanley and Dr. Marcus McFaul officiating. A memorial service will be held in Tulsa at a later date.
