Deanna E. Dixon-Stagner, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024, with her children by her side. Born on August 12, 1944, in Buffalo, New York, Deanna lived a life full of love, warmth, and dedication to her family.
Deanna was raised in Brighton, Michigan and graduated from Brighton High School in 1962. Deanna would frequently share the fond memories that she had with her family growing up “on the farm” in Brighton. Following high school, Deanna built a career as a secretary and Administrative Assistant. Deanna retired from University of Michigan Hospital in 2009.
Following retirement, Deanna pursued her hobby of creating greeting cards with the use of origami iris folding and enjoyed selling her cards at craft shows and farmers markets. Deanna was proud of her cards and valued the feedback that she received from returning customers who would often share personal stories of how they shared her cards and the meaningful impact they had on those who received them.
Preceded in death by her brother Paul Dixon and her parents Harold and Dorothy Dixon, Deanna's memory will be cherished by those she leaves behind. She is survived by her loving children, Troy Dixon, Ryan (Diana) Stagner, and Brandy Stagner (Deron Blaides). The greatest joy in Deanna's life was the blessing of her grandchildren, Reagan Stagner, and Gracie and Andrew Blaides. Known affectionately as NaNa and YaYa, Deanna treasured every moment spent with her "Babies," creating memories that will be forever cherished.
Deanna's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. A celebration of life will be held at a future date in Michigan.
