

Born on June 11th 1937 in Cidra, Cuba, Delia lived with her parents Celestina and Nazario Milian and her siblings José and Alfreda. Life on her father's farm was full of fond memories of attending a one-room schoolhouse and playing pranks on her siblings. As a young woman, Delia attended the Escuela de Commercio de Matanzas for accounting and graduated at the top of her class. On July 26th 1960, she married her husband Roberto Ramos. She immigrated with her husband and daughter, Alina, to the United States in 1969 where she fostered hard work and perseverance in her family and was very proud of their success. Alina became an Internal Medicine doctor and her granddaughter, Marissa, is attending Barnard College, Columbia University. Delia was proud to be an American citizen but also loved her Spanish roots and recently became a dual citizen of Spain. Delia was a faithful Christian and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved all her family, including those left in Cuba and would regularly send them care packages.
Delia passed away on January 8th, 2014 and is survived by Roberto, Alina, Marissa, and Alfreda. She will be remembered for her honesty, determination, and love.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18th in the chapel of Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home on North Lamar.
