Dennis Michael Kubacak

Dennis Michael Kubacak, 60, A cherished and deeply loved Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Teammate, and Friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 4th, 2025. Born on March 9th, 1965 in Austin Texas, Dennis’ life was a testament to hard work and integrity in both his personal and professional life.

Dennis graduated from Anderson High School in 1983, after which he enrolled at the University of Texas, graduating with his Bachelor’s degree from the McCombs School of Business in 1987 and becoming a lifelong Texas Longhorn. Shortly after graduation Dennis moved to Dallas, Texas where he began his career in business, becoming a CPA. In 1994, Dennis moved to Atlanta, where he started his career as a Chief Financial Officer, where he would eventually meet his soulmate and Husband of 26 years, Mike Hammonds.

In 2005 He and Mike moved back to Austin, Texas where Dennis would continue as CFO for various companies and organizations. Dennis was always happy and proud to give back to his community from volunteering at the Austin Humane Society to serving on the Executive Board of iPride Softball, a Softball organization where Dennis played the sport he loved for more than 25 years.

Dennis is survived by his Husband, Mike Hammonds, Mother & Father Alice and Leroy Kubacak, Sisters and Brothers in-law Deborah & Kuho Chong, Denise & Jeff McDermott, Kimberly & Lantz Tooke, and his beloved Nieces Katie Alice Chong, Olivia Tooke, and Hailey Tooke.

A visitation service to honor the life of Dennis Kubacak, will take place on July 19th, 2025 from 1pm-4pm at the Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home at 5416 Parkcrest Drive, Austin TX 78731. Respectful University of Texas attire is encouraged as we honor Dennis, a lifelong University of Texas Longhorn!
