

Dionne Lynn Deville of Austin, TX, passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 50 years old. She was born on April 16, 1975 in Lafayette, LA, and she grew up in Lake Charles, LA and Austin, TX. Dionne resided in Gretna, LA when she passed away.
Dionne graduated from Lanier High School in 1993 and was also a graduate of the Art Institute. She worked as a store manager at Mattress Firm, an associate at Whole Foods, a business owner of Gulf Stream courier, certified welder, and a singer of the band "Born to Suffer." She was actively involved in animal rights and care, local government and politics, art, music, singing, poetry, and elderly care.
Dionne is survived by her mother, Janet Sterling, and brother, Damien DeVille.
The family would like to thank the New Orleans Mattress Firm team for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days. We would also like to give a heartfelt thanks to the hospice team who cared for Dionne: Nurse Dawn, Nurse Nikki, and Head Nurse Kyefe, your care and concern was absolutely amazing. We would also like to thank our family and friends for their tremendous love and support through this extremely difficult time in our lives.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills, located at 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750, on January 31, 2026, at 11:00 am.
