Dixie Gail McBride, 71, of Austin, passed away at home on Saturday, June 26, 2010 after a long, courageous battle with illness. She is survived by husband, Richard; sons Craig, Mark, Kent and Kevin Stephens; grandchildren Rachel and Sterling; brother Monty.
Dixie was born in California. She was Office Manager for her son’s medical practice, Kevin Stephens, MD, here in Austin. She enjoyed family, her work, reading, needle point, painting and raising her four sons.
Dixie will be remembered for her vibrant personality and her caring ways.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 North Lamar Blvd.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel.
