

Domingo M. Salas was born July 24, 1927 in Luling, Texas and died Sunday, March 28, 2004 in Austin. He met and married Dolores Richie from Fentress and they were married for 53 years. During that time, Domingo worked long and hard to provide for his family. He was employed at Woodlawn Baptist Church for many years where he was recognized and honored for his services. Domingo has a special place in our hearts where many favorite and special memories are tucked away and where our love for him will never die. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Gavina Salas, his sister, Petra Salas, brother, Celestino Salas, and grandson, Stephen Anthony Segura. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Salas, daughters, Rosemary Segura and husband David; and Mary Ann Malloy and husband Denny. He is also survived by grandchildren David Segura and wife Jennifer, Matthew Segura, Daniel Segura, Aspen Trent, Joseph Herrera and wife Isabel, Monica Herrera and Edward Sturgeon,; great-grandchildren, JoEdward Sturgeon, Mariah Michelle Herrera, Joseph Louis Herrera III, Felix Savala, Joshua Savala, Ashley Savala, and Kameron Anthony Segura. Special thanks to Hospice Austin for their services, support and compassion during his long illness. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 PM Monday, March 29 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Tuesday at San José Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Street, 444-1212, with Monsignor Tom Frank as celebrant.
