

Doris Arp, 85, of Llano Texas, formerly of Austin, Texas, passed away on Thursday the 25th of October 2012. She was born on March 31, 1927 to Richard Barclay and Pearl Tuckness in Llano County. She was a member of Highland Village Church of Christ in Austin, Texas and worked for the IRS and DPS, retiring from DPS in 1993.
Doris loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved family and holiday gatherings, especially when all of the grandchildren could be there. She also enjoyed working in her yard and received neighborhood awards for having the prettiest yard. Her other interests included sewing, painting, and photography.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hilmer Barclay and Dean Barclay, and brothers.
Doris is survived by her son, Charles Arp and his wife, Reba, of Llano, daughter, Sheri Moore, and her husband, Robert, of Dallas, grandchildren Kevin Arp and his wife, Katie, of Austin, Jason Moore and his wife, Keli, of Heartland, Brandy Cox and her husband, Chris, of Corpus Christi, Jared Arp and his wife, Jessica, of Kingsland, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Sunday, the 28th of October 2012, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
A funeral service will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 29th of October 2012, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks, Pflugerville, Texas.
