Doris Elizabeth Jackson Shaw, born September 5, 1932 to Jack Wayne Jackson and Viola Mae Runnels Jackson, in Edinburg, Texas, passed away January 10, 2014. She will be placed to rest in Weslaco. She was a dedicated military wife to retired Colonel Kenneth Garland Shaw USAF, and an amazing mother.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Janette Jackson Towery, her parents, and her husband of 25 years. She is survived by her daughters, Joan Elizabeth Bilbo Pounds (Johnny), Jennifer Shaw Swailes (Kevin), Janet Shaw, and her son Calvin Wayne Bilbo (Pam). Her memory will be forever kept in the hearts of her grandchildren Sherri Lynn Pounds Mott, Jordan Vassberg, Cassandra Shaw, Kendall Vassberg, and grandsons, Thomas Bilbo, David Pounds, James Bilbo, Kyle Faupel, Tate Vassberg and eight great grandchildren.
You are a lady and a legend, and the world was fortunate to have you for 81 years.
Services to be held Friday, at 1:00 First Baptist Church Edinburg.
