

Dorothy Ann Franke Adcock Dorothy A. Adcock age 86, died unexpectedly on February 11, 2005, while recovering from a recent illness. She resided in Austin. Mrs. Adcock was born in Mart, Texas on September 2, 1918. She retired on September 1, 1979 after 26 years of employment with the Internal Revenue Service, serving 13 of those years in management. She is a member of St. Martins Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Franke, her husband, Mose Ed Adcock and his brother and sister-in-law, Everett and Louise Adcock, and by his younger brother Howard Adcock and sister-in-law and life-long friend, Virginia Adcock. Mrs. Adcock is survived by her son, Howard Terry Adcock; her grandson and his wife, James B. (Jim) and Ellen Slive Adcock; and her great-grandchildren, Noah Robert and Emilia Gabrielle Adcock, all of Austin; and by her grandson, John C. Adcock, of Hobbs, New Mexico; as well as numerous and beloved other relatives and their families, including nieces, nephews, and cousins. She and Mose Ed were sweethearts from their days in Austin High School. They were married for 66 years at the time of his death. She was supportive of his many community activities and his career while maintaining her own career and their home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2005, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at St. Martins Evangelical Lutheran Church, at 15th and Rio Grande Streets, with Pastor J. Glen Sandquist presiding. Internment will follow at Austin Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jim Adcock, John Adcock, John Cain, Al Adcock, Karl Adcock, and Harry Bengtson. The family wishes to thank the doctors who treated her and the kind and loving staff of Westminster Manor Health Care Center who cared for her at the last.
