Dorothy Ann Fawn was born Jan. 14, 1929, in Penn Pitt Patch, Pennsylvania, to Frank and Kathryn Centrich. The youngest girl of six children, she was Vice-President of her senior class and was a cheerleader at Mapletown High School.
She enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1952, where she met her future husband Donald Fawn. They were married on Feb. 06, 1953, at Hamilton AFB, California.
Dorothy’s first priority was family. After her son and daughter were school age, she went to work selling jewelry and cosmetics at Yarings Department Store for over 20 years. She retired and enjoyed visits with her children, grandson, and granddaughter. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church for over 45 years.
Dorothy passed away peacefully on May 14, 2017, in Austin, Texas. She was “the last of the siblings”, brothers John and Frank Jr., and sisters Annie, Mildred, and Mary.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 63 years Donald Fawn Sr.; son, Donald Fawn Jr.; daughter, Deborah Fawn and husband, Sammy Marcum; grandson, Kane Sawyer; granddaughter, Bronwyn Sawyer and numerous nieces and nephews.
