Dorothy Jean Roberson, nee Hensley, was born November 8, 1927, in Boling, Texas, to Elvin “Cotton” Hensley and Christine Keitel Hensley. She passed away June 5, 2014, in Austin. Dorothy married Seth Thearon Roberson, Jr., and they enjoyed the last 30 years together. Seth lived in the house next door the day Dorothy was born and could honestly say he had known her from Day One. Dorothy was an accomplished artist and a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a fiercely loyal friend. She was a highly intelligent woman with an inquisitive mind interested in many subjects, enjoying deep conversations that went on into the night; and Dorothy was a gracious woman whose home was always open to friends and family.
Surviving family includes her husband, Seth; her daughter-in-law, Janis Bryant; her step-daughters, Helen Gay Ogden, Karen Evans, and Sally (Christian) Kerpchar; and her step-sons Alan and Seth Thomas Roberson. Also surviving are her granddaughters Mercy (Harold) Cosper, and Miranda (Brian) Dvorak; and her step-grandchildren Tracy (Mike) Bye, Blake (Laurie) Evans, Emily Evans, Daniel Crum, and Katherine Kerpchar. Great-grandchildren are Lane and Ty Cosper and Ruby and Rose Dvorak; and step great-grandchildren are Bobby, Mallory and Tucker Bye; Charlie Evans; and Hayden, Nikolai, and Alora Crum.
