

Doyle “Lee” Mobley of Georgetown, Texas, passed away at the age of 87. He was born on February 15, 1938, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, where he grew up as the oldest of 7 children to the parents of Hugh and Marjorie Mobley.
Upon his high school graduation, he enlisted in the Navy, serving 20+ years. After his honorable discharge, he moved to Austin, Texas, and graduated from St. Edward's University with a bachelor’s degree in Business. His military, State of Texas, and private sector career was in the field of communication systems.
He actively served the community by joining charitable organizations, including the Optimist Club and longstanding participation in the Catholic church Knights of Columbus. His Knights of Columbus service began at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic church in Austin, Texas, and continued to Ascension Catholic church in Bastrop, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara of 36 years, his second wife Martha, and four siblings (John, Solon, Kenneth, and Maryam).
He is survived by his two daughters, Tracy Clark and Donna Midkiff, grandsons Zach and Zane Clark and two sisters, Joanne Cooley and Sue Brown.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and caregivers for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his last years.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Cook-Walden / Forest Oaks Funeral Home in South Austin on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:00 am CST. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 am.
