

He was the son of Joseph and Alma Wukasch and is survived by his wife, Sherry Etie, his children, David Wukasch (wife Debra), Marsha Allen (husband Larry), Karen Hocher (husband Brien), Paul Wukasch (wife Aggie) and Gail Dankis (husband Mark). He also has 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Earl was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He graduated from Austin High school in 1938. He then attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received his BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering. He was a Lt. (j.g.) in the U.S. Navy in WW II. During his lifetime, he worked for General Electric, Electromechanics Company, Wukasch and Associates Architects, Concordia University and the State of Texas Health Department. He was also owner of the Sundae Palace Restaurant at 43rd and Duval which was located at his original homestead in Austin.
Earl married Elaine Weitlich in 1949 in St. Joseph, Missouri. They were married for 51 years until Elaine's death in 2000. Earl then married Sherry Etie of Austin, Texas in 2007. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Eugene, and his first wife.
Earl was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, St. Paul Lutheran Church and was Executive Director of the Austin Easter Triumph Pageant. He enjoyed photography, Studebakers and playing violin.
The funeral will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 3501 Red River St., Austin, Texas at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Visitation will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home at 3125 North Lamar in Austin on Friday, April 20th, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Capital Park Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to: Austin Easter Triumph Pageant, Concordia High School, Concordia University or UT School of Engineering.
