Eddie May McGowan Eddie May McGowan, age 94, of Georgetown, died April 10, 2005. She was born on July 9, 1910 in Austin, Texas to Edward Charles Simpson and Jenny Albin Tabors. Eddie loved to play Bingo with her friends, read her Bible, and loved her many dolls and stuffed animals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude McGowan; brother, Archie Hermon Simpson; two nephews, Pete Cantwell and Charles Simpson; and by her niece, Ruby Pruett. Eddie is survived by her nephews, Wilburn Simpson, Jimmy Simpson, Floyd Simpson, Gene Simpson, Calvin Simpson, Billy Simpson, and Fred Simpson; nieces, Dorothy Ellison, Pauline Burnett, Christene Watts, and Joan Chaney; and by numerous great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Fiskville Cemetery.
