
Edith Marlene Nixon, age 65, passed away on December 3, 2009. She was born November 25, 1944 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Albert and Eva Nixon. Marlene attended grade school and high school in Austin. She married Phillip Palmer and they were blessed with four children. She was primarily a homemaker, but had worked as a security officer for several security agencies in the Austin area over the last ten years. Her hobbies included music, art and painting. Marlene was a member of the Center Hill Baptist Church in Oakhurst, Texas. She is survived by her children, Clay Palmer and wife Kim, Tina White and husband Daniel, Tonja Bridges, Paul Palmer and wife Dolores; her former husband, Phillip Palmer; grandchildren, Andrew Palmer, William Palmer, Phillip White, Abrianna White, Isaiah White, Gabriel Bridges, Lindsey Bridges, Kole Bridges, Jordan Palmer and Carson Palmer. Other family member include her sister-in-law, Frances Nixon; nephews, Kerry J. Neal and Bill Ingram; nieces, Donna Ingram and Angela Nixon-Neal; great nephew, Brian Willett; great nieces, Megan Neal and Laura Rosa; great-great nephew, Chance Willett and great-great nieces, Jordan and Myrah Willett. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 18th at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
