Eduardo was a Navy veteran having served honorably in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Kitty Hawk CV-63.
Eduardo was very proud of his Mexican and Lebanese heritage. Both his maternal and paternal grandparents immigrated to the US over a century ago. He loved sports, especially soccer, and his favorite player Messi, Notre Dame football, the beach, and the great outdoors. Most of all, he loved his family and adored his nieces and nephews.
Eduardo is survived by, his Dad and Stepmom, Joe and Elida Garcia Mosqueda, his Mom and Stepdad Sylvia and Jim Castro, his brother Rolando and his wife Lillian of Las Vegas, and brother Michael of Austin and former sister-in-law, Sara, his step-sister Cristina Warren, and her husband Jon and their family, and his close friend, Irma Briseno of San Antonio.
Also surviving are his nephews and nieces, Joseph, Alexis, Sunie and Lucky of Las Vegas; Maddy, Lailah and Maya of Austin. Eduardo is also survived by one great-niece Alia and two great-nephews Elex Mosqueda and James Song.
Eduardo was deeply loved by his family and will be in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 9:00 am until 9:30 am with a Rosary immediately following at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 1610 E. 11th St., Austin, Tx. 78702. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am. After the church service, Eduardo will be laid to rest next to his paternal grandparents, Joe and Nora Mosqueda, at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, 3650 S. I-35 Frontage Rd., Austin, Tx 78704.
Immediately after the cemetery service, everyone is invited to join the family for lunch at the Family Life Center at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
