At the age of 25, she married her soulmate, Perfecto (Pete) Baldazo and spent their loving years raising their children and grandchildren. Dora and Pete have celebrated over 60 years of marriage together. For those who knew Dora, knew Pete. And those who know Pete, knew Dora. Their love was a life-long love letter to one another. A story of their own, and to be cherished, always.
Dora devoted her life to her family, and enjoyed spending time in her yard and cooking for her family and friends. Dora’s cooking skills were an innate talent and anyone who knew her, knew of her “famous” tamales and menudo. With her love for cooking, she made every family gathering memorable. Yet it was her loving smile and laughter that made every family gathering complete.
Dora was a woman of immense strength and faith. She will be remembered for her strength in her faith, her devotion to her family and her wonderful sense of humor. She will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lillie Hernandez, Rosario Regalado; brother, Eulalio Sanchez; her son, Mario Baldazo.
Dora is survived by her husband, Pete; her daughter, Yolanda Briones; two granddaughters, Angela and Lori Briones; her son-in-law, Leonard Briones; her sister, Janie Meadows; brothers, Johnnie, Ray, Frank, Ernest and Edward Sanchez.
