Ellen Robinson Yaun, a 4th generation Austinite, passed away October 8, 2005. The family appreciates the loving care which was received during her final days at the Hospice Austins Christopher House. She was born to Edward Robinson, Jr. and Mercedes (Dees) Jensen Robinson, on the seventeenth of July, 1926. They both preceded her in death as did her husband Claude Lee Yaun and daughter Erin Yaun Rippert. Ellen is survived by her son Cooper Yaun and his wife Julia of Austin, Texas; daughter Lee Kugal of Dorset, Vermont; daughter Ellen Ryan-Sanders and her husband Jim from Kansas City, Kansas; step-daughter Montie Dare and her husband Clint; step-daughter Libbie Marshall and her husband David and 19 grandchildren. Also mourning her passing are numerous friends whose lives she impacted in many ways. Receiving her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas, she also became an accomplished author, real estate agent and investor. She enjoyed memberships in the Readers Guild, Garden Club and Junior League. Another great pleasure was her earnest participation in the Austin Lymphoma Societys fund raising events. Ellen leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, and will be sorely missed by all who had the good fortune to have been touched by her unique spirit and strength of character. All friends are warmly invited to join the family for a memorial service to be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 15, at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Following the service friends and family are invited to the family house to join in a celebration of Ellens life. Please honor Ellens request that in lieu of plants or flowers, all memorial gifts be made to the Austin Lymphoma Society, 8500 N. Mopac Expressway, Suite 401, Austin, Texas 78759, (343-7073).
