

Elva G. Robinson went home to be with our Lord on May 25, 2010. She was born on March 10, 1928 in Cameron, Texas to Hubert and Gracie Williams. She married Nolan Robinson on March 22, 1947 and they had three children, Coady, Sandra and Lisa. Elva worked at the Texas Department of Highways and also worked at the cafeteria in Wooten Elementary. She had many friends in the neighborhood and enjoyed having coffee with the other wives. She was a devoted mother, sister, wife and grandmother. She enjoyed country music and played guitar and sang when she was younger. She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. Her smile and laughter are one of the many qualities that will be remembered by all her friends and family. Elva is survived by daughters Sandra Robinson and Lisa Mckee and husband William (Bill); brother Jerry Williams and his wife Kay; grandchildren, Chris Robinson, Steven Robinson, Coady Ferguson, Shannon Montgomery and husband T.J.; great-grandchildren, Samantha Robinson, William O'Bryan, Kalen Baranaski, and Megan Montgomery; by many cousins and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at High Grove Cemetery in Cedar Creek, Texas. Thanks go to everyone at Vista Hospice Care and Family Eldercare for all of their support. Memorial donations may be made in Elva's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
