Erma Lee Osborn Humphrey

Erma Lee Osborn Humphrey Erma Lee Osborn Humphrey, age 99, of Austin, formerly of Lubbock, died on July 12, 2005. She was born on February 15, 1906, to Zack Osborn and Sammie Lawrence Osborn, in Silver City, Texas. Lee was a member of University Avenue Church of Christ in Austin and Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock. Her interests revolved around her family; she enjoyed spending time with them. Lee also enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and oil painting. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, J.C. Osborn; sister, Gladys Osborn Jernigan; grandchild, Sharon Rose Humphrey; and son-in-law, Norman Ray Davis. Lee is survived by her husband of 69 years, Joseph Marion Humphrey of Austin, formerly of Lubbock; children, Maggie Sue Humphrey Davis of Elysian Fields, Joseph Lee and Jackie Marie Hance Humphrey of Austin, and Pat and Reese McBroom of Lubbock; sister, June Osborn Reid of Stamford, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2005, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2005 at University Avenue Church of Christ with Minister Dean Smith of Austin and Riley Turner of Lubbock officiating.
