

Ernest Camarillo PaPa February 5, 1945 August 13, 2005 If I could split the ocean so you could walk through I would But surely I can hold back the tide for you so you can walk the beach of life. Ernest Camarillo a lifelong resident of Austin, died suddenly at the age of 60. He was employed by the State of Texas Employees Retirement System for over 14 years and had over 25 years of total service to the State of Texas. He loved his family but his favorite pastime was providing for and spending with his children and grandchildren. He had a fun filled and memorable week before his death with Cheryl and Joey. Ernest was preceded in death by his father, Gilberto Camarillo; mother, Herlinda; brothers, Conrad, Gilbert Jr., Reuben, and Rudy Camarillo. He is survived by his loving daughters, Darlene Camarillo-Lara and husband JP of Haughton, LA, Cheryl Camarillo-Shugart, and their mother, Sherry; four grandchildren, Camron Thompson, Dylan Lara, Victoria Lara, and Michael Joey Shugart; sister, Linda Schap and husband Michael of Baltimore, MD; brothers, Joe Camarillo and wife Virgie, and David Camarillo; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives Pallbearers are Wiley McAdoo, Jody Parker, Danny Briscoe, Joey Krauser, Wayne Teasdale, and JP Lara. Honorary Pallbearers are David Camarillo, Joe Camarillo, Irving Camarillo, Charles Camarillo, Glenn Camarillo, Garland Bolden, and Huey Krauser.
