Esther Sanchez Estrada

Esther Sanchez Estrada earned her wings to heaven in Austin on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from complications of lung cancer. She was born on Saturday, August 4, 1945 to Cosme and Manuela Sanchez in Austin, Texas.

Esther's favorite color was red and anything that sparkles; she loved the Texas Longhorns, enjoyed family and friend gatherings and attending special occasions. Esther enjoyed her days going to Louisiana with friends and family, and was very generous with her winnings, big or small. She was beautiful with integrity and strength, and faith in God and her catholic religion. She attended all her grandchildren's school activities and was their #1 fan in all they did.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Cosme and Manuela Sanchez; and grandparents, Pablo and Luisa Arellano.

Esther is survived by her son, David Sanchez and wife Lynette; daughter, Sara Marquez; grandchildren, David Sanchez, Jr. and wife Rani, Lorenzo Marquez, Nathan Sanchez, Jayde Marquez, Elizabeth Sanchez, Nevaeh Trejo and Heaven Trejo; great-grandchildren, Jase, Jax and Jada; brother, Cosme Sanchez, Jr. and wife Amelia; sister, Hope Aguilar and fiancé Martin Banda; many other half-brother's and sister's; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Sanchez, Jr., Paul Aguilar, Richard Sanchez, Jayde Marquez, Nathan Sanchez and Lorenzo Marquez.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, November 18, 2016 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 4600 E. Ben White Blvd. There will be a gathering in the Parish Hall following her mass.
