Faye Dane Hughes Faye Dane Hughes, age 85, of Austin, Texas, formerly of Waco, Texas passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil R. Hughes. Faye graduated from Waco High School in 1937 and attended a local Business College. She was a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church in Waco until 1968 when she and her husband Virgil moved to Austin. Faye later retired in 1973 after 25 years in Civil Service. She was an avid sports fan and had followed the Dallas Cowboys since their inception. After moving to Austin, she and her husband also became UT Baseball Fans, rarely missing a game. She is survived by her son, Robert W. Hughes of Tujunga, California; daughter, Carol Waters and husband Michael of Austin, Texas; grandsons, Leslie Miller and wife Annette; Steven Miller and wife Denise; five great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Lois and Margaret Hughes of Waco; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 30, 2004, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home.
