Fran Carter

Fran Carter, 67, of Austin passed away at home on the 30th of September 2010. She was born on the 1st of June 1943 in San Antonio, Texas. Fran completed 28 years of service as a Registered Nurse at the Bailey Square Surgical Center. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Keathley. She is survived by her husband, Gary Carter; daughter, Michelle Bracken; son, Joe Greenlees and his wife, Amber; step-daughter, Cindi Light; step-son Gary B. Carter; Mother, Gladys Keathley; sisters, Joan Emmer and Mary Nichols; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday, the 3rd of October 2010, at Hyde Park Baptist Church, 3901 Speedway, Austin, with Dean Nichols officiating. Graveside services will be held at five o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday in the Heickman Cemetery, Somerset, Texas. In lieu of flowers and the customary remembrances, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas.
