

Francis was preceded in death by her husband, Manual A. Vargas Jr., and several of her siblings.
She is survived by her children, son, David Vargas, son and wife, Johnny and Lisa Vargas, son, Joel Vargas, Sr., daughter, Dorothy Vargas, and son Gerard Vargas.
Francis is also survived by her brother, Tomas Caballero and sister, Agapita Vargas. She is also survived by her grandson, Javier Vargas, granddaughter Emily Vargas, grandson and wife, Joel and Jennifer Vargas, great grandsons Ethan and Gavin Vargas, granddaughter, Marie Vargas, granddaughter, Alyssa Vargas, grandson, Erik Vargas and granddaughter Gabrielle Vargas.
Francis could have been in the Olympics for making the fastest and best flour tortillas ever. However, her professional trade was as a seamstress, able to make anything from clothing to upholstery. She was well known by friends and family for her talent and made many dresses for every occasion, including wedding dresses. She enjoyed having her coffee, waffles and banana for breakfast and would never turn down ice cream if you asked. In her free time, she would go shopping, garden and visit friends and family. She was kind and loving to everyone, including people she had just met.
A visitation for Francis will take place at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749 on Monday, August 16th 6pm-9pm.
Services will be held at Cook-Walden Forest Oaks Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749 on Tuesday, August 17th 10am with graveside/catering to follow.
