

Francisco retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant in 1970 after serving his country 22 years. He was a lifetime member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1805. After a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s he passed peacefully and joined his wife in heaven.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary G. Gonzalez (Martin).
He is survived by his sons, Frank Gonzalez and wife Elva of San Marcos, Robert Gonzalez and wife Becky of Dallas, Paul Gonzalez of Austin; daughters, Debbie Gonzalez of Austin, Gerri Tijerina and husband Edward of Austin. Sisters, Tomasa Cuellar and husband Gilbert of San Antonio and Aurelia Tamayo and husband Gabriel of Austin. He had nine grandchildren, Justin Gonzalez and wife Gina, Daniel Gonzalez and wife Carmen, Christopher Rucker, Miranda Payne-Gonzalez, Miguel Gonzalez, Brandon and Mary Tijerina, Joseph and Christian Gonzalez and Christina and Adrian Gonzalez; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the world.
His children would like to give special thanks to Daddy's and our special friend, Ester Ojeda, also Southwood Nursing and Riverside Rehab Centers.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 pm followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at San Jose Catholic Church 2435 Oak Crest Avenue, with Father Tom Frank officiating.
