When my family moved in next door to Ms. Frankie, we were told by Betsy  Arumi that she was a well-loved feature in the neighborhood, and we soon learned what a special person she was.  A trip next door by my twin sons to hang out on Frankie's couch always brought a smile to all of our faces.  She kept current on our activities by asking lots of questions, and she energetically offered up pearls of wisdom and sound advice on each visit.  On their most recent birthday, Frankie presented the boys with cards and advice for studying hard in school.  I loved swapping stories with Frankie about sightings of our favorite neighborhood "critters" -- including an albino squirrel that she had been feeding for several years and the fat lazy possum that my dogs chased around the yard.  We sure enjoyed Frankie's cheer and timeless wisdom, and we will treasure our friendship with her forever!

Frankie will always be remembered by Bill and Joan Seim for her love of Jesus, her joy in hearing Bill's accordion music, especially Elvis, and her gratitude for life.

Ms.Frankie, 
You have been a sure and steady light in my life. I have known you, loved and admired you for almost 40 years since we moved in next door and became neighbors and friends.  You  and your Mother, Ms. Jessie became our family in Austin.  Ana and Alex loved to play cards with you and Ms. Jessie.  When my Mother and Daddy from NC came to visit us, the first people we had over to visit were you and Ms. Jessie. What a great time we all had, and you and mother started a correspondence that lasted the rest of her life. (One of my most poignant memories of Ms. Jessie was her telling us that when she finally moved on to meet her Maker, she would like an okra plant put near her head stone, because she had enjoyed a good gumbo about as much as any other worldly pleasure.)
Your wit, wisdom,independence, faith and belief in Christ, and love of humanity have inspired so many, many people throughout the years.  Your birthdays were true celebrations of love and thanksgiving.  
Your true nature was so readily recognized and honored by the beautiful Theresa and her extended family who so represent Christ's message of love.
Ms. Frankie,in the name of our pets that you loved, Marky y Sasha  and others, my children, and myself, I thank you, I bless you, and know that your journey to your Maker is complete.

Ms. Frankie....will always stand in the mind of my family as the strong matriarch of the community, who gave us all a little more reason for hope and contentment. About my fondest memory, only having met her at around 100 years old, is probably her holding that flashlight and reading her Bible.  Blessings to those who will miss her so much.  She hung around as long as she could!

Aunt Frankie.. I will miss our visits on Thursdays and listening to all the great stories of your life. You will always be in my heart. I love you. Sue and Duncan(your adopted dog)
