Gavin Mitchell Finnegan

It is with a heavy heart, we announce the brightest soul, Gavin Finnegan, at the age of 18, is no longer on earth with us. He was born in Austin, Texas on April, 14th 2006. Gavin brought immeasurable joy and light into all our lives with his kind heart, radiant smile, and boundless curiosity. When you look in the night sky he is the brightest star sparkling. Heaven's gates were tall enough for him to enter and heaven has become even brighter with him there. Though Gavin’s time on earth was shorter than we would like, he made a lasting impact on us all.

He was the first to lift others up and share words of positivity. He radiated kindness, love, forgiveness, peace and happiness. He will forever remain in our hearts, and continue trying to make us laugh. G, we know you are having a grand time up there and are reunited with those you love.

Gavin is remembered and cherished by his mother Christine Horn. He is also loved and remembered by his father Brandon Finnegan, and by Max Finnegan his brother. Gavin's loss will be mourned by numerous other family members, including Robert Horn, his loving uncle.

A service celebrating Gavin Finnegan’s precious life will be held on 05/10/2025, at 2pm with reception to follow, at Cook Walden Funeral Home Chapel of the Hills, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750.
