

Goldie A Taylor was born on September 3, 1942, in Cedar Creek, Texas to Willie Aldridge and Harriet Aldridge. Goldie accepted Christ at an early age. And baptized with the holy spirit. Goldie attended fellowship services in her early age at Lone Star Baptist Church and later became a member at Zion Chapel Church in Bastrop, Texas under the leadership of the late pastor Humphries and Pastor Thomas.
Goldie Taylor was married to Jesse Taylor Sr. for 57 years. And to this union seven children were born. Goldie attended school at Shiloh Community and Bastrop ISD. She then pursued a career at Shiloh Head Start School as a teacher. She was a kindhearted, dedicated, loyal teacher who impacted the lives of students and made a positive difference with advancing education to the next level. She also performed clerical assistant work for Bastrop County.
Goldie enjoyed quality time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spiritual fellowship and encouraging others. She also enjoyed cooking shows and gospel music and was a great hairstylist.
Goldie was called home on January 20, 2024. She is proceeding in death by her husband Jesse Taylor Sr. and parents Willie and Harriet Aldridge in Bastrop, Texas. Also, five brothers and three sisters.
Goldie leaves to cherish her memories of five daughters. Elaine Taylor Jackson, Trilyon Taylor Dixon and (Donald Dixon) from Houston, Texas. Gloria Taylor Washington, Beverly Taylor from Austin, Texas. And Alicia Taylor of Hutto, Texas. Two sons, Jessie Taylor Jr. Ronald C. Taylor of Austin, Texas. Sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. One brother is Harold Aldridge of Austin, Texas. A host of nieces and nephews and family and friends.
