The Lord is my shepherd, there is nothing I shall want. Our beloved mom believed this and lived it her entire life. Guadalupe Rodriguez was born in Karnes County on August 12, 1919, and died on February 23, 2004. In 1939, she married Ramon S. Martinez, who preceded her in death on April 12, 1973. Her loving children thank her for her gift of life to them: daughters, Sister Stephanie Marie, IWBS, Anita Hernandez (Reyes), Aurora Quiroz (Ernest) and Mary Ellen Prater; sons, Rudy (Ophelia), John, and Larry (Mary Ann); 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and another on the way; and nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family thanks Austin Hospice for their gentle caring of their Mom in the last days of her life, and all who were present to her throughout her lifetime. A Wake will begin at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 26, 2004, at PromiseLand Church, 1504 E. 51st, Rev. Randy Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
