Oh my goodness Mr Hodges.our hearts are broken 💔. We had sent many texts messages here recently .and I told Johnny..has Mr Hodges responded..and he said no .. I felt in my heart that I knew something was wrong because this is not Mr Hodges. He's very prompt and responding to messages I met Mr Hodges thru my husband Johnny he made an impact in our lives and as I read his obituary it says everything that he says that he is it's true he made us feel special he respected us he made us feel valued and try this as if we where his own family. My heart is saddened when I read the report on the internet you will be dearly missed you will be very missed by me and Johnny I condolences to the hottest family Miss Sherry and Keaton we love you and you're in our prayers to Mr Hodges we'll see you on the other side we love you

Colin was cherished and will be missed dearly by his Gray Becker family.  A donation has been made to the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians to honor his memory.

Despite the fact that I was only  blessed  to see Colin once a year, every visit was full of laughs and smiles and unforgettable energy, that would be carried with me throughout the day. He was an amazing , energetic man, and not once did he transfer his pain or discomfort to others but rather always lift us up with his positive and radiant being. May he always be remembered by his loved ones and those lucky enough to see him once a year. 
You will be missed.

Colin was more fun than any one person could hope to be.  My mother used to say it was a good thing I didn’t meet Colin, Shannon, Mark and the gang at Tech…I might not have graduated.  Instead, I met them in Austin in the mid-late 80’s, as we were all starting our careers.  We traveled in a group to any Tech games within driving distance.  The highlight for me was the rented RV that caught fire on our way back to Austin from a Tech/A&M basketball game.  But oh, the laughter no matter the crazy situation(s) we found ourselves in - with Colin typically as the ringleader.  I can only imagine the huge hole his passing will leave in the lives of Shari & Keaton.  May they find peace, along with the many, many people who loved him.  Colin’s bright light will shine on and we shall see him again, healed, laughing and joyful.  💜

Our sincere condolences to Shari and family.  Colin was truly a great person.  I know he will be missed by so many. May he rest in eternal peace.  

I met him when I became part of Sandalwood family in 2010.  My daughters (Alejandra and Alianna) had the opportunity to meet him when they gained employment at the Laundromat many years later.  They remember the first Christmas there that Colin asked them, "well who's decorating"  They enjoyed talking to both of you.

I was privileged to know Colin professionally and  also as  a friend through mutual family friends. Such a gentleman, always with that fun loving  glint in his eyes. My fondest memory was seeing him months after the covid craziness when we were all masked and distanced, I got the biggest Colin bear hug, that will stay with me forever. To Shari and Keaton, such a huge loss.... our hearts go out to you!

So sad to miss Colin now, we had many adventures, panning for gold in Colorado, looking for the Marfa lights and boat rides in lake Austin. Thank Shari and Keaton for sharing him with us.  We will not forget him.\

My deepest condolences to Shari and Keaton. I met Colin and his partner, Steffany, through working at Sandalwood. He brought laughter and joy that filled the room(s) he entered and oh the shenanigans! What’s he up to now we’d say! A favorite memory was joining he and Steffany as elf’s for a Christmas company party. We got our costumes on but the darn elf ears kept dangling off, slipping down. We looked ridiculous as our Elfin leader directed his elf’s (each of us laughing while holding our tights up) to pass out gifts. Rest in the arms of Jesus, Colin. No doubt heaven will love your shenanigans. Your energy radiates on.

Colin, our sweet friend,  fought hard and gave it his all. I loved knowing him all those years and spoiling him with his favorite foods!  Our world was a better place with him in it.  Now he’s enjoying his eternal life that we are all promised  with our precious Jesus. 

Shari and Keaton, you are both loved by so many and have the support of an army to help you get through this tough time.

Too many great memories to share here. I’m just grateful my daughter had the opportunity to meet Colin. They met for the first time only a few weeks ago. Evelyn being 7 months old had just entered her ‘stranger danger’ phase of development where she would cry when meeting someone new. With Colin there was none of this. Colin’s 1st question was  “can I hold her?” And Evelyn’s only responses to this were laughs and giggles. I’m really grateful that Evelyn had the opportunity to meet my buddy Colin. Meeting such a kind, cuddly teddy bear of a human being is a once in a millennia opportunity! Thanks for being a part of my life for the last decade and change Colin. I’m really gonna miss you buddy, but I know the good vibes you’ve passed forward to both my daughter and me will last more than just her lifetime.

God broke the mold when He made Colin. Sending so much love to you Shari, Keaton, and to all of his family. Colin’s legendary spirit will never be forgotten!

Colin Hodges was the best of the best neighbor and friend any person could have. His answer was always “yes”, then “What’s the question?”  Colin was the Chairman of our special tight knit group of neighbors. It’s always fun to get home, wander to a neighbor’s house (frequently the Hodges Lodges) and talk and laugh until it was night time. Colin’s heart was humongous, and his laughter will echo in my own heart forever. I can’t wait to see him in heaven; that is what the Bible promises. I’ll see you later, Colin! Tell Jesus we said Hello; he’ll already know our best stories. Love ya, brother!
