Harold Gene DuBose

Harold married Gerda Kreis on February 27, 1982 in Austin. She was the love of his life and they enjoyed 38 years of marriage together. Harold honorably served in the U. S. Army including a tour in Vietnam. He had a successful 38 year career in Sales for Frito-Lay in the central Texas area. He was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church in Austin where he served as Elder, Trustee, Money Counter and “Lawn Mower”. He loved fishing with friends, watching sports, trips to Germany to visit Gerda’s family, fellowship and activities at the Saengerrunde in Austin and travels with the Road Runners group in Round Top.

Harold’s death is mourned by his beloved wife, Gerda, and his son Brian DuBose. He is also survived by his brother Donald and Billie Jean DuBose, brother Kevin and Terry DuBose and sister Joyce and Drew Foradory. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Linda DuBose.

Memorial services will be held Monday, August 19, at 10:00 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 6414 North Hampton, Austin Texas. Memorial gifts may be given to Hope Lutheran Church in Harold’s honor. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” Psalms 116:15
