Harriet retired from the Department of State Health Services in 2010 with 21 years of service to the State of Texas. After retirement, Harriet lived on 5 acres of land in Fentress with the love of her life, Fred. There she enjoyed tending to her many flowers and potted plants. She was also fond of all of her pets, goats, and her donkey, Sweetie. Harriet was a wonderful mother to Joe, her pride and joy. She truly cherished spending time with her two red-headed granddaughters and looked forward to attending their various activities.
Harriet is survived by her loving husband of 48 years Fred; son, Joe; daughter-in- law, Melissa; granddaughters, Hannah and Sarah; sister, Sandra Patton; brothers, Tommy and Bill Blum; along with many other beloved family members.
Our family would like to especially thank Lynette Tidwell for being Harriet’s best friend and for always supporting her.
