Hey Hopie, Just wanted you to know that I have been thinking about you & all the wonderful memories we shared. Monday, April 13 was Michael's birthday & he would have been 37 years old.  While at the cemetary I stopped by to see you & Virgil as I always do. I was so sad when I went out there but knowing that you, Virgil, Mike & daddy are all together gave me peace, even brought a smile to my face.  Try to keep daddy & Virgil out of trouble, give Mike a big hug from me & you behave yourself.    Love you always,



Well, Momma my birthday just passed didn't get your phone call but I did dream about you the night before.  I really miss you and think of you daily. Pansy and Family,    I only knew Ms Hopey for a short while.  But as short as it was I Ms Hopey always made you feel welcomed.  Sure she gave you a piece of her mind but it was always out of kindness and love.  I could always count on her to bring me up because of her love life attitude. First of all, to let you know that I arrived ok.  Iâm writing this from heaven, here I dwell with God above.  There are no more tears of sadness; there is just eternal love.  Please do not be unhappy just because I am out of sight.  Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.  The day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,  God picked me up and hugged me and He said,   âI welcome you, itâs good to have you back againâ   âYou were missed while you were goneâ.  âAs for your dearest family, they will be here later onâ.    God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do.  And foremost on the list was to watch and care for you!  So when you lie in bed at night and the dayâs chores are put to flight,  God and I are closest to you...in the middle of the night.  When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years,   because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.  But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain,  remember, there would be no flowers unless there was rain.    I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.  But if I were to tell you, you wouldnât understand.  One thing is for certain, though my life on earth is over   there are many rocky roads ahead for you,  but together we can do it taking one day at a time.    It was always my philosophy and Iâd like it for you too;  That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.  If you can help somebody who is in sorrow and in pain,  then you can say to God at night...âMy day was not in vainâ.  So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,  just lend a helping hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.    When you are walking down the street and youâve got Me on your mind,  I am walking in your footsteps only half a step behind,  and when itâs time for you to go from that body  to be free... Patsy, Michael, Lisa and Pansy      Words cannot express what I felt for Tia Hope, she was the one that always made us laugh. She was such a happy person.   My kids only got to meet Tia Hope a couple of years ago and immediatly fell in love with her, because of the spunk she had.  Mom and I felt bad that we could not have been there for you guys, but do know that we were thinking about you. Oh my goodness Hopi, it is so hard to believe that you are gone.  What a void you have left in so many lives.  You came into our lives over 30 years ago & what memories we have of you.  You & Virgil became best friends with mom & dad and what characters you four became. No one could ever be sad around you. You made sure of that with you infectious laughter & jokes.  You will always be my "Black Momma" as you referred to yourself.  I will forever love & miss you, but knowing that you are no longer in pain & are now one of GOD's precious angels helps to start the healing process of losing you. Thirty or so years ago, I met this wonderful woman through my parents, Obie & Benita.  I cannot imagine this world without Hope.  You see, some thirty years ago my mother and Hope were the best of friends as was Virgil and my dad.  They were more than best friends but rather sisters and brothers. My fondest memories of Hope were always happiness and laughter!  She was the sweetest woman I knew.    Recently, my mother and I talked of visiting Hope.  Unfortunately, my mother had some medical issues and we were not able to make the trip.  My heart aches that my mother was not able to make the trip to see her best friend/sister.    Hope, you are dearly loved and missed!  You brought life to my mother and for that I will never forget.  I know you are in a better place now and someday you and Mom will be able to run the roads just like you did thirty years ago!   Pansy and family, my thoughts and prayers go out to you. Lisa & Family,    I'm so glad I got to meet Hope.  She always had a sparkle in her eyes and I know you have lots of wonderful memories.    Just know that she is free from pain and that she knows how much you loved her and took such good care of her.  Erica, I'm so proud of you for staying with your grandma this summer and taking care of her.

I did not get to know Hope but I certainly heard alot about her from Pansy.  She is very much loved and will be deeply missed.
