

Howard Patterson Sr. passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 73 after a courageous battle with cancer. Howard was born September 20, 1950, in Trout, Louisiana to Ellen Patterson & Howard Jefferson. Howard attended Goodpine High in Trout, LA.
Howard moved to Texas and began his career in Logistics as trucker driver for 40+ years until he was forced to retire in 2017. One of the proudest moments in his career is when he purchased his 1st truck as owner/operator. Howard was a hardworking man.
Howard met his wife Cynthia Hill-Patterson in 1983; they were united in marriage on May 10, 1985. They reside in Manor, TX. God blessed Howard & Cynthia’s marriage as they celebrated 38 years before the Lord called him home. During the 38 years of marriage to Howard; Cynthia was a second mother to Howard Sr kids; Howard Jr. “Randel”, Kevin, and Nate.
Howard was a loving husband and free-spirited man. He loved to dance. He also loved Zydeco music, drag racing, wrestling, and hanging out with family & friends. He would like to be remembered as a good man, true friend, and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Last but not least, he was (saved) and often prayed with our cousins Pat Reed and Rev. Ronnie Riles.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents: Ellen Patterson & Howard Jefferson; brothers Eddie Dean Turner, Joe Purvis, Julius Purvis Jr, Ellis Campbell, Billy Purvis Sr.; granddaughter Lakerielle “Lak” Kittlin and the family fur baby, Mikki.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Cynthia Hill-Patterson; his children Howard Jr. (Michelle), Kevin (Taylor), and Nate; grandchildren C.J., Lak, Trynnitee, Myles, K.J., Kameron, Lennox, Kendal, Reagan & Amya; one great-grandson, Ky’rie, and a host nieces and nephews. A very special friend, Wade Wells joins a host of loving and caring relatives and special friends. Howard will be missed by his fur baby, Gus.
