Howard Wayne Traylor

Wayne was born on August 3, 1940, to Howard Eugene and Bobbie Jewel in Greenville, Alabama. He had one older sister Anita Faye. Wayne grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, which is where he met the love of his life and wife, Verna Katherine.

Wayne served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged after five years as an Airman First Class. Following his honorable service to his country he worked at IBM for thirty years. After his retirement in management from IBM, Wayne moved on to a ten-year career at Williamson County Sheriff’s Office where he retired as a Sergeant.

In retirement and throughout his life, Wayne enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening, and spending time with his family.

Wayne is proceeded in death by his parents, Howard Eugene and Bobbie Jewel, his sister Anita Faye and granddaughter Rachel Lynn.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Verna Katherine, their four sons; Howard Mark (Lisa), Randall Wayne (Gena), Wyatt Frank (Sabrena), and Rodney Brian. Wayne is also survived by his grandchildren; Justin Wayne, Julie Kaye Morlock (Chris), Melissa Marie Byrne (Michael), Wyatt Dylan, Ashlyn Nicole, and Jennifer Lynn. As well as his great grandchildren, Adalyn Kaye, Sophia Hazel, Mattis Randall and Olivia Rose.
