Isabel T. Chapa

Heaven got a little brighter on the night of April 25th. Our beloved mother and grandmother, Isabel T Chapa, passed from this life and entered into her Heavenly home. She has joined her husband Jose and her son, Alvin Chapa. Isabel was born in Mexico on July 8, 1910 to Miguel and Prajedez Tello. She was known to all as Mama Chapa.

She was a loving homemaker for her family. She is survived by sons Rosalio Chapa and wife Nicolasa, Joe Chapa and wife Lupe, daughter Dorothy Ramirez and husband Domingo, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchildren.

Our family wishes to thank the Riverside Rehab Nursing Home staff for the devoted care shown to our mother.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday, April 28, 2016 with a Rosary at 7pm at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78752. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am Saint Julia Catholic Church, 3010 Lyons Rd, Austin, TX 78702 on Friday, April 29, 2016 with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lockhart, TX.
