Jacquie Allyn Roberts, age 65, passed away at her home in Austin, Texas on Friday, November 6, 2015. Born March 15, 1950 in Corsicana, Texas, Jacquie was raised the only child of Wallace B. and Janie M. Roberts.
After high school graduation, Jacquie studied anthropology and architecture at East Texas State University, Commerce, Texas (now Texas A&M University - Commerce), completing her Bachelor of Science degree in 1977. She eventually settled in Austin, Texas.
Jacquie leaves behind her aunt, Deloyce (Sug) Holloway and two cousins, Ricky and Paul Holloway. Her parents predecease her.
She proudly lived and died on her own terms. She was a talented artist and passionate about many things - gardening, books, the environment, politics, and especially the care of nature and animals.
At Jacquie's request, no memorial service is planned. However, her many friends and acquaintances will always have the memory of her wit, humor, sarcasm and most of all laughter.
Should anyone wish to make a donation of time, supplies, and/or funds in her memory, she would be pleased at contributions to animal shelters of your choice.
