

James Howard Murray, the youngest son of Judge William Owen Murray and Louise Green Murray, born on May 16, 1923, of Austin, Texas, died at the age of 80 years old on December 12, 2003. Mr. Murray was born in Floresville, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from Texas Tech University in 1947 and his Masters of Science Degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas in 1951. Mr. Murray spent most of his career as an oil and gas consultant practicing before the Texas Railroad Commission. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Parks Murray and his son, James Howard Murray, Jr., of Victoria, Texas. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Lauren Elizabeth Murray 18, and Tyler Owen Murray 17, both of Victoria, Texas, and his beloved niece, numerous nephews and cousins. There will be a memorial service for Mr. Murray at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepard at 2205 Moffett (corner of Exposition Boulevard and Windsor Road), Austin, Texas at 2:00 p.m. on Monday the 15th of December, 2003 to be followed by visitation with the family at the fellowship hall of the church.
