James Wesley "Tommy" Thompson, age 79, passed away Monday, July 14, 2008. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Virginia Thompson; his daughter, Susi Boss and her husband, Russell; sons, John Thompson and wife Susie, Jack Thompson and wife Kara; grandchildren, Jason Boss and wife Lori, Heather Durante and husband Tony, Max Thompson and wife, Tarrah, Alex Thompson, Rex Thompson and Taylor Thompson; great-grandson, Anthony Durante; mother, Ruth Marshall; and sister, Betty Fowler and husband Toy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Wesley served his country in the Navy and later during the Korean War in the Army. After his military service, he was employed for 38 years at Brown Distributing in Austin, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home on S. Congress. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Chapel. Interment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park.
