James Glenn Warren (Jimmy), age 56, of Bertram, formerly of Austin, passed away Monday, March 23, 2009. Jimmy was born August 28, 1952 in Austin. He graduated from Lanier High School in 1970. Jimmy retired from the Texas Commission of Alcohol and Drug Abuse and at the time of his death was working for the Frank Erwin Center. He was a Civil Defense officer for the Austin Police Department and a US Army veteran. Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Angela Rhoades and husband Robert and grandson Dillon, all of Bertram; father Glenn Warren and wife May of Bartlett; birth mother Agatha Hanson and husband Leon; sister Judy Warren; brother Les Hanson, all of Farmersville; along with numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, cousins and treasured friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother Ophelia Warren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will he held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel. Burial will follow at Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville with Military Honors.
