
Robbie, Donnie and family:

I was so sorry to hear about Jan's passing.   It has been a number of years since I saw her last.    My ex-husband, Frank, "Kayo (Robert), Jan and I played either "42" or Wahoo about 3 or 4 times a week.   Your dad, Kayo,  was in our wedding back in 1960 and he and Frank were roommates before we all married.       

I remember one incident that we laughed about for a long time.    We all went to the coast one week-end and had stopped in San Marcos to eat breakfast.   The entrance was a revolving door and Jan's skirttail got caught in the revolving door and it would not budge.    We finally got her out and we laughed all the way to Corpus.    I don't think she thought it was funny at first, then she laughed with us.   

I have very fond memories of our times together and remember watching you two grow up.

Some of my very first memories were of being at Jan and Kayo's house with my brother and parents (Frank and Dottie) playing Wahoo on Saturday nights and playing yard darts in the back yard with Robbie.  Donnie was just a baby back then and we were constantly getting in trouble for being too loud!  I got to see Jan when she was in McDade one time about 25 yrs ago but that was the last time I saw her.  She was a very special lady and will always hold a special place in my heart and in my childhood memories.  Robbie and Donnie, I am so sorry for your loss.  Keep her memory with you at all times and may they bring you comfort.    Kim



On behalf of Ross Store on 8100 Burnet Road, we will miss Ms. Bayer coming in every Tuesday shopping for her family.  We will miss her smile and seeing her every Tuesday.

I got to know Jan very well as a meals on wheels driver.  I so much looked forward to delivering to her that I would make sure she was last on my route so that we had plenty of time to visit.  Her energy, enthusiasm, and optimism always left me grateful for having had the opportunity to know her. 



Our most sincere condolences for your loss, we are so sad for your family. We hope that you will find comfort in your memories, family and friends. We were delighted to have known your mother, she was such a lovely lady.  We enjoyed learning about her life, such an amazing person, and she will truly be missed.

Robert & Donald,

I was so sorry to hear about your Mom's passing.  I was able to see her earlier this year at Paul Bizzell's funeral and I'm glad I did.  I can't believe it's been 28 years since I first met her at the Barclay Agency.  She was a very kind and interesting person and I know she will be missed.  I'm sorry I cannot attend but please know my thoughts are with you and the rest of your family.
