

Janice died in Austin on April 21, 2006. Jan was preceded in death by her husband, H.W. (Hank) Dunlop, parents William and Ladelle K. Ince, brother Winford Ince, and niece Judie Gammons. She was born in Altus, Oklahoma and lived in Oklahoma City until 1924 when her family moved to Dallas. Jan moved to Austin in 1936 to work for the NYA where she met Hank. They were married in 1939. She is survived by her only child, Bill Dunlop, and his wife, Betty, of Austin; granddaughter Amy and husband Tom; great grandchildren Jamie and Avery; grandson Robert and wife Stephanie; great grandchildren Brady and Will; her sister Helen Blundell; and four nieces. Jan was a member of the United University Methodist Church, The Fellowship Forum Class, and Monday Morning Circle. Shes been a member of the Book Club since 1954 where she formed many close friends plus many traveling companions that took her to many countries. She was a long time member of the Ladies Lion Club (Tri-L), the Mesa Oaks Garden Club, and the Murie Art Guild. Jan loved art and opera; her favorite being La Boheme. Her grandchildren called her Mimi the leading lady singer in that opera. Jan was involved in art and craft classes most of her adult life. She moved to Westminster in 1998 where many of her friends lived and also made many new friends. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service at Austin Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, followed by a reception at Westminster Manor at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
