

Jarvis grew up in Decatur and attended U.T. Arlington on a basketball scholarship. He later transferred to U.T. Austin receiving both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He remained a loyal longhorn fan throughout his life.
While at U.T. he met and married the love of his life, Faye Pierson. After graduation the family moved to California. Jarvis continued his education at Stanford and worked for Sylvania and ESL before starting his own company, Probe Systems, Inc., working with the Department of Defense. He was an honorary member of the Navy League, Board Member for ILLgen Simulation, on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee of his church, and an active member of Junior Achievement. He was a Life Member of the U.T. Ex-Students Asso. and an avid golfer.
Jarvis was a man of great faith and integrity. He was a very loving husband, and adored his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Burt, daughter Teresa. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Faye, daughter Susan, and son Rusty, brother Robert and wife Betsy, Martha (Burt), grandchildren: Jeff Ahrens and wife, Laurie, Jack Brice, Joe Brice, great-grandchildren: Jayden and Jameson Ahrens, his nieces and nephews, all who will miss his wit, kind and gentle spirit, constant love, and unfaltering belief in each of them.
A Memorial Service will be held on January 23rd at 2p.m, St. John's UMC., 2140 Allandale Rd., Austin, TX.
