A man of profound love, generosity, and unwavering strength, his passing will weigh heavily in the hearts of the countless people whose lives he touched. Born October 3rd, 1964 and raised in Highland Park,Texas, Jason was the cherished son of Frank and Joyce Wright, who preceded him in death, and the brother of Allyson Rogers, with whom he shared a lifelong bond.
From a young age Jason was a force of nature, bringing energy, light, and a touch of mischief, to every adventure he embarked on. He discovered his love for music at a young age, playing in the band Double Take, and forming lifelong friendships with his fellow bandmates. The joy he found in music stayed with him throughout his life, and was a gift he shared with those around him. Jason’s passion for life was palpable, mirrored in his enthusiasm for his countless hobbies. Jason’s zeal for firearms, motorcycles, and a great game of golf were all reflections of his adventurous spirit and love for life.
Jason was a man of action, integrity, and deep compassion. He wasn’t one to offer empty words—he lived out his promises, turning prayers into deeds and always finding a way to help those in need. A pillar in his recovery community, his strength and vulnerability in sharing his journey in sobriety touched countless lives. Jason was a guiding light; his openness, kindness, and joyful humor brought hope and healing to many. He had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved, and he never hesitated to show up for others in their time of need. His life was a testament to the belief that the purpose of living is not simply to be happy, but to be useful, honorable, and compassionate. He embodied these virtues every day, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jason is survived by his devoted wife, Jenny, and his four wonderful daughters—Lilly, India, Alex, and Macy. Jason’s love for his family was endless and profound. As a husband, Jason deeply cherished his wife, Jenny, with whom he shared an extraordinary bond. Their love was a source of endless joy and laughter, creating a home filled with warmth, understanding, and cherished memories. Jenny was the light of his life, and their connection was a testament to the power of true love.
As a father, Jason’s love and support of his daughters was unyielding - he was their biggest fan, their rock, their best friend, their hero. To Jason, being a father was not just a role; it was his greatest honor and joy. To each of them, he was a source of unwavering love and guidance, always ready with a word of encouragement, a comforting embrace, a heartfelt laugh. He cared for his daughters with a fierceness and tenderness that will forever be remembered. Jason’s legacy of love and devotion will continue to shine through Jenny and his daughters, who carry his spirit with them always.
A memorial service and celebration of Jason's life will be held on Sunday, August 25th, at 1:00 PM at Weed Corley Fish, located at 5416 Parkcrest Dr, Austin, TX 78731. Family and friends are encouraged to attend as we honor and remember the incredible man he was. May we all love like Jason.
