

Jerry Lynn Martin, aged 79, passed away on September 16, 2025, in Austin Texas. Born in Levelland Texas on September 14, 1946, he lived a life of service and devotion to Christ, the Church, his country, community, and family. Jerry was a Vietnam War veteran and a proud Marine! He was a former church elder and deacon, president of the Dripping Spring ISD Schoolboard and his neighborhood association. He served as Past Commander and remained active in the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post 2933. Jerry built a notable career spanning over 45 years working for the Texas Railroad Commission and Federal Railroad Administration. He was a faithful member of LifeFamily Austin church and loved the Lord.
In 1972, Jerry married Beverly Gail Adams of Midland Texas until she passed in 2014. He is survived by a brother Troy Martin and wife Diane of Midland, a son Jeffrey Martin and wife Rachel of Lexington, a daughter Lee Anne Zigmond and husband Bradley of Boerne, grandchildren Ian, Isabel, Meredith, Zara and Zachary, and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Jerry never met a stranger and was blessed by an abundance of friends that will miss him dearly. He was an athlete, loved to hunt, enjoyed music, cooking, and fellowship. His warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will not be forgotten. We love you, Pop!
Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on September 23, 2025, at LifeFamily Austin Chapel. Graveside service will follow at Cook Walden / Forest Oaks Cemetery.
