

Jerry B. Prilop passed away peacefully at home on Saturday June 27, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 80. He was born in 1935 in Fayette County Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Mary Prilop, his brother George and sister Lucille.
Jerry grew up in LaGrange and graduated high school in 1952. He then moved to Austin to attend Nixon Clay Business College while working at The Queen Theater in downtown Austin. He spent time as a United States Marine Corps Reservist and was a fireman with the Austin Fire Department for 14 years before going into business for himself as a paint contractor. He was a member of St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church for 59 years, and a 76 year member of the KJT, Catholic Union of Texas. His many hobbies included golf, classic cars, antique collecting and restoration.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Ann and his 8 children Kim Williamson (Denny), Penny Stevens (John), Steve Prilop, James Prilop, Jill Snyder (Chuck), Tracy Briggs (Marc), John Prilop and Millie Jones (Jeremy), 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress with Recitation of the Holy Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Onion Creek Memorial Park.
Donations may be made in his honor to St. Ignatius Martyr School.
