James received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M. He was a professional engineer.
He married Judith A. Suits Davis on February 18, 1988 in Oak Hill, Texas. He served as a church deacon for Friendship Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Judy Hughen; children, Mark Hughen, Nancy Brough, Lisa Wilson, Scott Davis, Ginger Jarosek; siblings, Jonathan Hughen, Sylvia Strand and Marilee Denson; and 12 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
