James Shackleford Morgan, known to us as Jim Morgan, was called home to be with the Lord on his 58th birthday, Friday, April 23, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Chris, son Josh and his wife Kristin and granddaughter Hannah, daughter Naomi, and son Zach. He is also survived by his stepmom, Betty Morgan, twin brother Mike, brother J.P. Mahony, and sisters: Carol Desch and her husband Richard, Sharon Mahony, Pam Mitchell and her husband Jim, Patty Petersen, and Maggie Pendleton and her husband David, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Marylou Busch. Jim and Chris moved to Austin in 1976. That year, Jim began his lifelong career in residential real estate. He worked for NPC for 4 years, started his own brokerage in 1980, had the privilege of working with Bill Stanberry & Associates in the 1990's, and for the last decade had his own small office brokerage, Star Properties. Jim counted it a ministry and a blessing to help people buy and sell their homes. Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice," and Jim was called to belong to Christ when he was 19 years old. God's transforming grace was evident in his gentle and kind character, his sunny disposition, and his trust in God's providence at all times. He was a founding member of Providence Orthodox Presbyterian Church, a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal (now Christ Church), and spent the last five years of his life as a member of All Saints Presbyterian. The family is overwhelmed by the outpouring of God's love shown through His people at this time. Memorial services will be on Sunday, May 2nd at 3:00 pm at Weed-Corley-Fish, Lake Travis. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the All Saints Presbyterian Benevolence Fund, PO Box 160248, Austin, TX 78716
